Canva Create has cemented itself as the must-attend conference for digital creatives and businesses. From the new tool launches that rival Apple’s famous keynotes to the incredible speakers on creativity and storytelling, Canva knows how to showcase what they are good at. 

The anticipation was building as our CEO Ryan touched down in LA for the event… What groundbreaking innovations would Canva unveil next? With AI making waves and the constant feed of people creating their own action figures, you just knew it was going to be something big. 

And Canva didn’t disappoint. Whether you’re a Partner, like Refuel, a business or even a designer, Canva just got a lot more powerful. It was a big thrill for us to see our logo featured at the first Partner Day right along some big names like HubSpot, Meta and LinkedIn that have all partnered with Canva.

Before diving into the exciting new features launched, here are some insights we gathered from being at the event. 

The design market is growing: While searches for Adobe remain relatively static, Canva searches have grown dramatically.

95% of Fortune 500 companies use Canva: Canva is no longer just for small businesses.

There are 235+ million monthly active users: Not bad for an Aussie startup!

Enterprise is where it’s at: The Canva Enterprise option enables your whole organisation to use Canva and they want us to go big.

Canva Webinars are a hit: Each of their webinars get 15k viewers each time!

AI models are here to stay: Canva started implementing AI elements but now it is front and centre on the homepage.

Canva Sheets: Spreadsheets finally get a makeover

Canva’s answer to Google Sheets transforms boring spreadsheets into visually appealing documents. They’ve been paying attention to how people use Canva - particularly for making reports more engaging and attractive. 

Canva Sheets is where data meets design, making spreadsheets something you actually want to look at. When combined with Magic Studio at scale, you can populate dynamic fields using AI. 

We’ve already had a play around with this one and it’s completely changed our Audit Decks.

Magic Charts: Data visualisation that tells a compelling story

In the same light, Canva's charts have received their own magical upgrade with Magic Charts. This feature allows you to turn complex data into on-brand designs that communicate insights effectively. 

The most exciting part? You can connect directly to HubSpot and visualise your sales and marketing data in real-time, bringing your numbers to life in a way that looks good and makes sense. 

Canva AI and Canva Code: Create without limits

AI has been gradually integrated into the Canva platform, but now it’s taking centre stage. Create images, emails and social posts starting with just a simple idea and a prompt. You’ll be amazed at what Canva can now produce in no time at all. 

Photo editing has also received a significant upgrade with powerful AI tools that ensure perfect images every time. With just a prompt, you can recreate your images with new backgrounds and edit them like a boss, right from your phone. 

Canva Code is a new feature that interestingly enough you don’t need to know coding to use! No external tools needed - you can build an entire landing page right from inside Canva. This feature brings interactivity design to projects in just a few prompts.

Visual Suite 2.0: The game-changer for multi-format content

This one is an absolute game-changer for anyone who creates content in multiple formats. Previously, if you needed to adapt a design for different channels or formats, you’d have to start from scratch. No more. Canva’s Visual Suite 2.0 means you can create various formats in the one design.

The benefits extend beyond creation efficiency. It opens the door for more collaboration amongst teams when it comes to reviewing and using different documents. It can all now happen inside Canva.
