Stay updated with everything Refuel

This is a new role in our team, supporting our current Web Developer, but with a focus on web application development. As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will work on front and back end development, but with a focus on back end development.

This is a dynamic and varied role. You’ll primarily be working on web apps, API integrations, and HubSpot related products. You will also need to pitch in and help with other development projects, including websites in WordPress, HubSpot CMS, Shopify and BigCommerce.

You will need to be experienced, with at least 2-3 years of industry experience under your belt. You will be skilled in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/node.js, React/Angular and PHP, plus managing code in Github.

You will also have strong experience with server and database management. Experience with cloud based infrastructure and managing serverless platforms is a must, with either Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services.

Refuel Creative is a team environment. It’s one of our core values. As such, you’ll be expected to work with our clients and our team to develop products that connect with their target customers. You will also work with our existing Web Developer, working as a team to deliver the highest standard of client outcomes.

As our in-house Full Stack Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of internal projects and shape our look and feel for the future.

This is a great opportunity for you to strengthen your skills in a range of different mediums - web, mobile apps, server-less code, integrations, and more. We want someone who cares about the user experience, and how users interact with their work, so we can drive the highest performance and conversion rates.

If you are creative at your core, always looking for any excuse or opportunity to flex your skills, we want to work with you!

What will you be doing as our Full Stack Developer?

As our Full Stack Developer, your purpose is to work as part of a team to bring our customer and designer’s visions to life online. Your work is designed to help our clients grow their organisations - increase their sales, donations, leads and clients.

You will work on a variety of projects right from the start. These projects will vary from more simple websites, through to complex web apps and API integration projects. During the design phase, you will work with our other designers and developers to have input and give feedback to ensure the website design is feasible and follows web accessibility guidelines.

You’ll work across a mix of platforms, building websites in MEAN stacks, WordPress, BigCommerce, Shopify and HubSpot. From time to time, this will also include landing page designs, email marketing templates, and more.

Key projects for this role include:

  • An existing web app, currently built on a MEAN stack in Google Cloud, for a SaaS business.
  • A range of API integration projects between HubSpot and third party systems.
  • For the right candidate, a range of HubSpot related design and development projects.

You will need to write and maintain your technical documentation. Part of your role is identifying opportunities to grow our web development services and develop related products, so maintaining clean documentation is critical as we grow our team of developers. Everything we build should be maintained long into the future. Clear and concise technical documentation is critical to that.

You will also flex your design skills, ensuring that we continue to develop easy to use, accessible, well-designed, and industry-leading websites.
